Hello eco beauties…
Spring is really finally here!
The same week as Earth Day, Mother Nature decided to explode with all her glory here in NYC and I was around to catch the moment as one of my favorite flowers burst into full bloom: magnolias.
So even though there is not a trace of magnolia flowers in our products, I just had to dress up our Dr. Alkaitis Herbal Toner with garlands of it because both the award and the blossoms are so pretty in pink!
Dr. Alkaitis Herbal Toner was honored as a Natural Beauty 2015 WINNER from Nature & Health Magazine.
This is a very highly esteemed Australian Magazine.
Speaking of Australia, if you’re a green goddess/god Aussie looking for eco-chic toxin free beauty products look right here at:

In celebration of our Dr. Alkaitis Herbal Toner I thought it would be fun to share with you the great benefits of this product and what makes it so great. ….This toner is more than just a toner. It’s one of the multi-functional products in our line. It’s naturally anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial.
It’s loaded with 3 different kinds of seaweeds (do you know how fantastic seaweed is for your skin?): Sea Oak, Atlantic Kelp and Pearl Moss along with organic Aloe Vera, Chamomile, French Lavender and so much more……read full ingredient list here…..
Into a base of organic Aloe Vera gel*, Witch Hazel and organic grape alcohol* (from the fermentation of organically grown grapes), the following organic and wild-crafted herbs are blended: Greater Nettle*, Wild Chamomile flowersº, Myrrhº, European Elder blossoms*, Marsh Mallow*, French Lavender flowers*, Curacao Orange*, Benzoinº, Rosemary*, Wild Fennelº and Balm Mint*. Grapefruit* and Lemon* extracts. Sea Oakº, Atlantic Kelpº and Pearl Mossº. Also added are natural vitamin B and vitamin C complexes and 100% pure Essential Oils.
* – Signifies certified organically grown.
º – Signifies ethically wild-crafted.
The truth is I use this product before, during, and after being in the sun as an all-over face & body treatment. It will immediately soothe the skin and give quick relief. Between all the seaweed, chamomile, lavender, and the base of Organic Aloe Vera gel this is one of the best post-sun treatments that you can give to your skin. This bottle literally lives in my bag all summer long. There is a natural sun protection that this product contains that is naturally inherent to the plants themselves, but it is not a ‘sun-screen’ and won’t block sun though it will protect and nourish your skin.
If you simply HAVE to use sunscreen, then massage this product on along with the Nourishing Treatment Oil before you apply your sunscreen.
This combination is much-loved by our make-up artists and estheticians. It is used to give perfect hydration to the skin under stressful conditions (think hot lights and lots of make-up) and give the perfect finish before make-up. You can use this same method at home and achieve the same lightweight glow.
Estheticians use this in a light massage, as a way to penetrate the top layer of the skin giving much needed nourishment to congested or dehydrated skin before they preform the extractions. It works like a charm
You will achieve a beautiful dewy hydrated glow that will penetrate quickly, leaving the skin beautifully hydrated.
What are people saying? Well we did just win an award for it!!
But I ran across this cute review on Spiritbeautyloung.com, and felt compelled to share it.

“I have never used or liked toners. They always seemed pointless to me and felt like nothing. I got a sample of this and I am hooked. I also am very sensitive to scents. For some reason the smell of this I LOVE. It is a weird earthy smell and I adore it!”
I actually loved that she talked about the scent and thought it was a great point to bring up.
Yes, it’s a pleasant ‘herbally’ earthy scent. All our products are works of nature. We never use any synthetic scents or chemicals. Every ingredient that is used is actually edible (not that it would taste that good) but Dr. Alkaitis formulates by this rule “ if you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin”.
I would love to hear from you if you have any questions or if you would like to tell us what you think about this product.
Until then enjoy this beautiful time where new life is bursting forth and remember that every day is Earth Day.
To your health + beauty,
