Hello my cyber friends!

Please excuse my tiny hiatus from this blog. I had the unexpected joy of finding a garden apartment in NYC that required a swift and focused move. Now that I have a few herbs in the ground and a couple of wonderful get-togethers behind me, it’s time to have some more summer fun with you!

This is the last of our Product Blog Series, having covered our entire line; the Dr. Alkaitis Organic Travel Kit is pretty self-explanatory.

Welcome back everyone to Week 14 of our product blog series…

You know that saying about saving the best for last… well, I believe our very own Dr. Alkaitis Organic Mascara and Eye Make-up remover has hidden powers that even took me by surprise, and definitely qualifies for the best revealed secret in eye care maintenance that I have ever encountered…read on….

You see I have always used mascara, and I have always had very short eyelashes.

For years I never used eye make-up remover because, quite frankly, I was too young and too lazy.

How did I remove my eye makeup?

Enter: AGE.

At some point, I noticed my eye area needed some extra TLC, and after years of glancing at our mascara and eye-make up remover at an arms length away from me in my bathroom, I finally started to use it.

At first it took some time getting use to putting oil on my eyes.

Enter: PROPER APPLICATION.

My friend Vered Back, masterful esthetician:

As the weeks went by I was so delighted with using such a pure product on my eyes that worked so well, and also provided an additional layer of hydration around my eyes along with the Eye Crème.

This was the extra TLC that I needed.

I change my skin care routine a lot, depending on season, mood, and skin condition, but basically every evening after I remove my mascara with the oil, I apply eye crème on top of that.

This week we’re revealing our recipe for healthy, strong luxurious hair featuring Dr. Alkaitis Organic Shampoo…

It will never dry out your hair, and will leave it shiny and full. I know, because depending on the time of year and what I am doing, my hair will fall into anyone of the aforementioned categories!

In the dead of winter in New York City, my hair is oily beyond belief – and to be able to wash it every day without further damaging my fragile hair is an absolute gift.

In last week’s post, I promised to share with you my personal favorite hair treatment that will keep your hair glossy and hydrated all summer long!

Dr. Alkaitis Coconut Hair Repair Treatment:

What you will need:

• Dr. Alkaitis Organic Shampoo
• Dr. Alkaitis Nourishing Treatment Oil
• Organic Coconut Oil
• Organic Coconut Milk – 1 can or fresh if you have access to it

Step 1.

Blend 1 tbsb. of Coconut Oil to 1 tbsb. of Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil

Note: you can adjust this amount to your hair length. I have long hair and this amount works well for me. You may also GENTLY warm the oil mixture in a saucepan. Do not use a microwave to warm it.

Step 2.

Massage mixture well into your scalp, hair, and ends. Cover with a plastic shower cap.

Leave on for a minimum of 30 minutes. The longer you can allow the oil’s to penetrate the scalp and hair shaft, the better!

Step 3.

Wash your hair twice with Dr. Alkaitis Organic Shampoo.

Step 4.

Pour Coconut Milk into your hands and start massaging it into your hair. ‘Wash’ your hair several times with this, rinse and repeat. I use the entire can on my hair and body. The coconut milk absorbs the oil and hydrates your hair and leaves your skin silky smooth. You may GENTLY comb this mixture through your hair, starting at the ends.

Step 5.

Follow with a final wash with Dr. Alkaitis Organic Shampoo.

Step 6.

Style & Dry  your hair.

This delicious treatment leaves my hair looking shiny, super fluffy and smelling heavenly!

This is a MUST for after-sun hair care!

What exactly does this mask do?

The ultimate therapeutic treatment mask, Organic Universal Mask nourishes, soothes, calms and rejuvenates sensitive, irritated and inflamed skin. An excellent follow up mask for post skin peels and microdermabrasion. • Apply with fingertips and keep on for up to 20 minutes.
• Rinse with warm damp towels and follow with Dr. Alkaitis’ Herbal Toner.

Note: You may choose to only use water, and omit either the honey and or yogurt. All are perfectly fine choices. So long as an aqueous substance activates the mask, it will work. If you do only use water with this mask, keep water mister handy to spritz your face every now and then to keep the mixture moist while on your skin.

By the way, when mixed this mask is a deep green color, which usually evokes lots of giggles from loved ones.

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Enzyme Exfoliating Mask

Welcome back to Week 9 of our product blog series.

For those of you who have sensitive and acne prone skin, last week’s post about the organic flower mask might have made you feel a little left out… but I already knew that this week was going to be for you!  (Well, it’s actually for everyone but has a special place just for you!)

Who is the Organic Exfoliating Enzyme mask good for?

• Sensitive skin
• Acne and troubled skin conditions
• Normal skin

What exactly does this treatment mask do?

Organic Enzyme Exfoliating Mask is a biological peel and is ideal for skin that needs to be renewed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. It is a gentle and effective anti-aging treatment. How to Use:

• Mix one full teaspoon of powdered mask with approximately one teaspoon of spring or purified water in a small bowl and mix into thin paste.

• Apply evenly with fingertips to face, neck, and décolletage.

• Keep mask moist by spritzing with water.

• After 7 minutes, rinse face with lukewarm water and Dr. Alkaitis Organic Purifying Cleanser to remove the mask residue. (It’s normal to feel a slight ‘gummy’ residue left behind on the skin)

• Follow with the Dr. Alkaitis Organic Herbal Toner.

The best way to remove all our masks is with warm soft damp towels. You will most likely need to completely rinse 2 or 3 times to fully remove this product.
